Solar and Elektroblock EBL119 - worth connecting?

Just installing the solar. 300w via an Epever Duorace controller.

Is it worth connecting via the EBL or just direct to the batteries?

I’d have to connect via the rear of the EBL as I don’t think the front connector has input for the starter battery, just the leisure.

Going via EBL will mean a longer cable run.

I think connecting to the rear of the EBL is the same as going direct to the batteries also I do not think you could use the solar controller connection plug on the front of the unit as 300w is to many amps for the EBL solar circuit.
