So, while i know I can simply google for the right size, did I not read somewhere that you cannot simply use standard car ones? Think I remember seeing that 9mm chain is too small or something about 9mm and mild steel? Also, did I also read that any suitable for 4x4 were also suitable for a motorhome?

So, what do I need to specify when looking for a set that won't let me down when I eventually need them?

goggle snowchains.com and put your tyre size into SUV/4x4/van. Not used them just doing my research but will give you an idea.

Just was doing exactly that lol and found these and it specifically says motorhomes too so looks like these would be the ones to go for. £174 for my size.

You made a wise choice there and auto adjustment. I've marked them for future reference. I have phoned the company for advice.

I just bought a pair of these for 225/75/16 tyres, best price i could find £135. Great service from them, they checked the tyre size and type of van, free delivery only took 2 days. Tried them on van and (in the sun and warm) easy to fit and remove. Does say not suitable for Vanco2 Continental though on the box!
