Hello,

Ive recently discovered that my Smev FO211FGT Oven has no Flue! The flame keep going out, there is a way to keep it alight by opening the door a tad, there is a magnet on a pull out plate that holds it open, but my quoestion is, can i buy a flue kit so i can run the oven with the door closed, and if so where? Appreciate any help here, dont worry im not going to be fitting it, i just need information for the gas fitter.

From what I can see in the oven specs., there doesn’t appear to be any sort of flue kit available for it - are you sure that the oven you have isn’t faulty, and that’s the reason the flame keeps extinguishing…….

Thanks Andy, I read that other thread and yes it was the same issue I had, i think ive sorted the issue out now, so hopefully this thread may help others if they come across the same issue. So, Its been confirmed that no flue is needed on this Model, I now understand that the vent under the front door feeds oxygen to the flame and the vent over the door is the flue gas discharge, (there is a duct like setup that directs flue gases to the vent). When I set the thermostat dail to No5 and close the door, the pilot flame gets lazy and turns yellow and grows and starts lifting off the burner, once the door is opened things go back to normal, the only solution for me was to turn the thermostat to No3 and leave it there, the flame is happy there, the temp is around 180 Deg C which is the sort of common temp so good. I think the burner may be overgased, so ill take it to Mr LPG to see if it can be checked.

remove the burner and make sure its spotless clean only way it can be overgassed is a regulator failed to open which is a very unlikley situation and wold effect all other gas appliances if its going waffly i would think you need to check the air supply route
there is another way it could be overgassed which is the wrong injector fitted is it a new oven or new to you has it run right ever?
