Hi,

We have a Lyseo harmony Line TD 745, and above the driver's cab is an XL Skylight, as they call it. From one side slides a black out blind, and from the other side a flyscreen net.

The flyscreen net has unfortunately become unattached from its fixed end. Everything else on it is fine but just wondered if anyone else has had this issue, and how it might be repaired/re-attached. Any clips missing maybe?

It has a plastic bar which holds all the net together and this was somehow attached inside the internal frame.

Dealer quoting £510+VAT for new complete unit on unsighted enquiry.

Photos here:-

Any help very welcome, thanks!
Tim

There are lots of threads on here about removing and repairing this type of blind/flyscreen. Usually the plastic outer frame unclips off to allow access to the roller cassette. However your particular one over the cab may be different, particularly if it is curved to the roofline.
The best thing to search for first - with google - is the fitting instructions for that blind. Then you can reverse engineer taking it apart.
You need to know the make - such as Seitz - maybe someone with a Lyseo will come along soon.

Thanks - yes, trying to find out if it's a manufacturer made window assembly, or an external supplier. It's not a roller blind, more a folding concertina type.

Burstner in Germany won't tell me who makes the window, nor will they send me any tech info. Will only provide Burstner part number to purchase complete new window assembly from UK dealer 🤷‍♂️

I expect the flyscreen net bit will be on a roller though.
Just start googling repairs on these type of blinds, we all have them, concertina for sun and net on a roller for flies. Often made by Seitz, maybe remis.
If the option is expensive replacement then you have nothing to lose.
However please do record your efforts on her especially if you are successful.

Thanks for the post. It's not on a roller, please see my pictures above, the flyscreen is also a concertina type, as you can see. I've googled, but have only got so far and can't see my skylight window assembly type on either Seitz or Remis websites, hence the callout here for advice from specific owners. (y)

We have a 745 2019. Net part is concertina like a hab door fly screen. Hope you sort it soon. I'm afaraid I don't know the answer to your issue.

It all looks to be a fairly simple system. I’d think it would be repairable. I’m not sure from your photos what has become detached. Perhaps more photos might help?

The plastic bar I'm holding in images 2 and 3 should affix inside the frame to tether the flyscreen (as a fixed end), but it's become unattached. I'll try and post some more pictures sometime. I expect it to clip in somehow, but it doesn't seem to.

So I assume the blind can still be located on the runners at the sides of the frame? If that’s the case can you not reattach the detached rail using small screws or even something like Gorilla mounting tape or Velcro pads?

I expect I’m stating the obvious but have you checked the floor to see if anything pinged out when the blind detached. It must have be held in with something.

It isn't rocket science and nothing to be scared of. Take down the inner frame with blinds complete and work from the back. it should all be pretty obvious. There are youtube videos showing how to do the repair

Hi
I realise this is an old thread however exactly the same thing has happened in our Burstner. Did you find a solution?

Hi,
We have a Burstner 2016 Nexxo, with an XL skylight. The same thing happened to us: we took it back to the dealers and a very tall technician with long fingers pressed the bottom edge of the flyscreen down firmly until it clicked into place. It took some effort, but was eventually successful, and has stayed in place for over a year. However, we are mindful of this and treat it gently!
So don't despair. Hope this helps.
