Pairing can be a tricky old faff. You may need to connect the Sky box to a phone landline as well as have internet access to the Sky website, to get it done.

Just wondered if Sky tied you to your supplied box to stop you using second hand ones which are illegally bought as they belong to Sky.

I don't know about Sky Q, but we have an Sky HD at home and in the van. Each time we go away, I pair the card on their website back and forth, no phone line seems to be required.

Are you sure you want to have Sky Q in your van because they only work with a particular type of LNB.

log in to the members area
Make sure your Viewing Card is in your Sky box.

1. Go to sky.com/activate and sign in using your SkyID.
2. Enter card/box details.
3. Select Pair Card.
