Hi woke up Sunday morning to a shattered side window on my Burstner avians i727 on reviewing cctv no body around watched window shatter from inside of van (glass window) any body else had this happen now off road till it’s fixed can’t even drive as it’s on drivers side

All I can think of, is the surround structure expansion with the temperature, and no space on the edges( expansion gap).

Someone with an air rifle?

Rotten luck.
I returned to mine in France last year to find my side window smashed, according to an adjacent shopkeeper by a hit 'n run market trader in a rental van.
Replacement not available new or from a breaker in spite of hours searching and many phone calls so I sent my broken one to EECO who made another in 3 weeks. It was c£400 but perfect.

A sheet of acylic/perspex can be cut to fit till you source a replacement

Hi thats what i am doing today new glass has to be made in Germany complete with new frame costing in the region of £1500 plus fitting costs and will take 6 to 8 weeks the joys of owning a German a class van good job the insurance will pay

We had a break-in few years back and had to have a window replaced, frame was ok just needed the Perspex.
First Perspex was fitted and we were called to look at it, dipstick had fitted it with a huge deep scratch right across it!
Second one they got right, took weeks tho!
Where do old Motorhomes go to die, there must be breakers for MHs!
