Apologies for sticking this in here but I don't have clearance for the u-shaped lounge and I am pretty sure I will get a swift answer here.

The pull down cord switch for my mums shower has failed so I bought a new one and it is wired in and working apart from the neon came pre-wired to be permanently on instead of just when the pull cord is switched on.

This is the instructions stating that it can be changed but I can't see how. Do I just disconnect the neon wire from the 'load' terminal to the 'neon' terminal?

Thanks in advance.

if it is wired as per diagram above the neon should only come on when switch is on.
to have neon on all the time the neon wires need to be wired into the supply not the load

The neon wires are wired in to both supply and load as per the diagram. I'm guessing I just remover the short wire from supply to neon terminal but thought I'd better check first

no they are not. if you look at the diagram both neon wires are wired into the Load live and neutral

Apologies you are correct. So I am guessing if I look there should be similar terminals for the neon wire on the supply side? I just swap them over?

Just checked and the only terminals for the neon wires are on the load side 🤷‍♂️

Without being nosey, why do you want it permenantly ON?
The neon is a warning that the shower has power to it when the switch is on but the shower is not in use.
I assume you simply put the neon wires directly into the feed terminals which is OK.

I may or may not ( 🤭 ) have got muddled up on the meanings of load and supply. It is wired as per diagram now and working to perfection.

You wired it back to front didn't you.... Go on, you can tell us. :ROFLMAO:
