my neighbour as just bought a 2.0lt fiat 2006 ci cusona 594 on looking at engine there is no engine cover and the injectors are rusty .any one got this model and should it have the cover. thanks.

Is that the X250 juddergate one ?

If so the cover was retrofit needed because rainwater could get on the engine due to poor scuttle design.

I previously had a 2006 one, 2.2 engine, It had no cover, but the engine bay was immaculate like new, no rusting at all

My 2009 had no cover but had the water ingress problems and was quickly showing signs of starting to rust around the injectors, so I had to get the mods done by the chassis dealer, which included the engine cover, an alternator cover and a fix to the water scuttle in the engine compartment.
