Shopping on Sunday

Is there one of those betting bars in town? They usually have a tabac connected.

Increasingly smaller supermarkets in smaller towns are open Sunday mornings?

In my experience very few supermarkets in France sell tobacco.

I don’t understand it, but there is a lot about France I don’t understand.

PMU I think they are called.

I have spent 5 mins trying to work PMU into an acronym , closest I could get was a derivative of PMSL ?

Talking betting as you were, bit pissed I can’t access my Ladbroke account in France, fine in Germany and Luxembourg, not France ?

Could have made a fortune betting on the rugby, easily said when you can’t get a bet placed of course :whistle2:

A lot of the small bars in many towns sell cigs lot have tobbaco signs out side just have to look around.......................Ian

PMU = Pari Mutuel Urbain . Horse's races , it's a betting place in towns

To the OP: Bars and PMU cafés or railways stations are the main places where you can find ciggies!

WHY not in supermarkets? Because of the minors it is forbidden to be sold in such places. Alcohol: they have to give a proof of their age.

In Montresor had good walk round town, nothing. I guess Its early night. Heading southeast tomorrow any ideas for a stopover. Will drive 2 to 3 hours. Cheers
