Shirflow king pump

I have a slight leak on my Shirflow king pump, and I believe it is the straight and elbow connectors. Should they be hand tight or spannered up to prevent egress of water. Is it ok to use PTFE tape to help stop the leak?

It’s hand tight job. The seal is made by conical shape plastic, ptfe tape is for tread seal, not much help on cone. Try to undo, twist and re tight. Make sure cone is clean. Usually they leak when misaligned or over tight damage.
