Servicing Hab

Can anyone tell me if I can have my habitation service done by someone other than a dealer? I have a Dethleffs Just 90 2nd service due November and I live in Fareham Hampshire.
If the answer is yes then what is the situation on any warranty?

Damp check must be done by main dealer but normally with German vans hab check not required for warranty. I've had 3 Hymers never had a hab check done.

Same on my Rapido, only requires a damp check although i had the first 3 Hab checks done as they were part of the deal but the 4th / 5th were damp checks only and warranty intact. I would get the damp or hab check done via the main dealer to avoid any issues down the line.

Read the terms and conditions carefully……Sunlight (part of the same group) insist on a Sunlight Dealer doing it in order to maintain the warranty.

How long have you had it? Warranty on Burstners Hab is only 2 years so no point in continue for the sake of warranty after this. Only the damp needs doing from years 3 - 10 ( i think its 10?)

Reliance Motorhomes out at Funtington will do a hab check on any make. NCC approved. Although they aren't agents, there's also Southdowns down in Anchorage Road, Hilsea. I've seen various makes at their workshops, which are in Quartremaine Road btw.

Some manufacturers allow hab check to be done by any member of the Approved workshop Scheme and still maintain the water ingress warranty. Unfortunately Dethleffs isn't one of them.
