Help fired up the M/H for the first time in a few weeks and there it was the demon service light can anyone suggest a way of extinghishing a service light on a 56 plate Fiat Ducato 2.8jtd would be grateful for any advice . many thanks in anticipation.

Fix the problem would be a good idea.

So you need an OBD2 gadget and some software.

Or am I thinking of the engine fault symbol ?????

Clearing the maintenance indicator light (MIL) on a Ducato of this vintage is easy. Press and hold the trip meter button and turn on the ignition, keep thre button held in until the dispaly reads "cfg1". Release the button then press it again and hold unitl the MIL goes out. Turn off the igntion. job done!
