I doubt if churro made in an electric oil-less maker will taste anything like the real thing, just like an oven chip doesn't taste like a fried chip ... I'd rather have a fried churro every now and then and to hell with the calories than have them more often but without the real texture/taste.

We actually bought some frozen ones last year when in Spain and had a treat in the MH, they were actually very nice but certainly not something you want to be eating regularly unless you want to end up like Mr Blobby!

What.... pink with yellow spots? :giggle:

Don't end there, when you have the Churros machine you have to buy the chocolate machine thing to dip the Churros in. Spain they love dipping in their coffee anorl.

You can sometimes get “Spanish Hot Chocolate” powder in tins in Aldi, magic stuff. Several scoops of powder and really hot milk. Ooh, I’ve come over all unnecessary!

We just stick ours in a tub of chocolate spread ... yummmmmmmyyyyyy! :giggle:

We get lots of Apples and we make Apple Sauce (We Ahem "She")

I bought an Apple peeler

Used it one, it's in the box, under the stairs, where it has been for the last five years.

We (She) still make lots of Apple Sauce (y)

Nearly bought one for Gilly. She loves em

I am so sorry, if Gilly knows anything at all about cooking churros, she'll tell you, the Recipe starts 'First prepare your vat of boiling oil'. Years ago, someone described them as 'Extruded doughnuts' and I loved the description. Freshly cooked and red hot. Instant indigestion, tossed in powdered vanilla sugar, served in a conical white paper bag, outdoors from a van. Just THE best!

Am I allowed to migrate from kitchen to garage(MH) must haves? And not an off-the-shelf purchase?

I posted this elsewhere this morning

"Not exactly storage but more the securing of stored items - we have four poles, floor to ceiling, near each corner of the garage These are excellent for attaching ratchet straps(I do not favour bungees, too stretchy) at any height. There is enough space between them and the walls to secure items behind them as well as in the larger space in the middle between them. Ours are fitted on the outer edge of plinth boxes on which we store smaller boxes and items.

They must have been retro-fitted by a clever previous owner and will be a 'must-have' item for me on any future MH. "
