Peugeot boxer
Does anyone have a single passenger seat for a Peugeot boxer that will fit a 53plate they want to swap for a bench seat that has 2small seats attached to the back of it?

Single passenger seats are usually very hard to find and/or expensive as they are very sought after, as most people converting will remove the double seats and buy a single seat and base. Ours is a 2018 boxer and I managed to find a drivers seat which we fitted on the passenger side. We had to do some alterations to swap the seatbelt over and the armrest is on the wrong side but it was much cheaper! Also a drivers seat has more adjustments so that was another bonus.

As you say, with the Boxer (and Relay & Ducato), it is just the same as the VWs and Mercedes in that not only do you have to source the single seat, you also need to find a single seat base to go with it!

In a similar way to you, Zoobec, when I swapped my VW LT Double Passenger Seat with a single, I had to get a single seat base, and the most economical way to do this was to get a Drivers Side Seat Base rather than the Passenger Side Seat Base.
Around 1/3rd the cost and to fit in in the passenger location requires the drilling of literally one extra hole for a mounting bolt next to the original hole for the mounting bolt. It did have a Handbrake support bracket (being the drivers seat base) that wasn't needed but that turned out to be perfect for the seat belt lower mounting, so was actually a benefit.

Not done it myself, but what you did with the actual seat itself I have heard quite a few folk do on their VW T5s very successfully when wanting a single for the passenger so sounds like a good option :)

I am looking to do the reverse, and take a captains seat out and replace with a bench seat as i want 3 up front. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how easy/difficult a job this is to do. I have already bought a double seat from ebay

I think your have to take out the old seats both of them.
then remove all the carpets so as you can see the metal on the floor then push your new seat into position
and check the bolts will locate into the fixing points.

but if the new bench fits on the old seat bases then it’s just a case of removing the old seats
then trying the new bench seat again trying to match the fixing holes.

then stick the old seats in the classifieds on the forum.

Is this in a boxer? If so and you have bought a double boxer seat to replace your single one then the fixing points are the same for the double seat as the single one. You will need to remove the single passenger seat and it’s base and replace with the double seat, the base is included in the double seat.
