Hi
There will only ever be me and the wife staying in the camper. But there may be the odd occasion some one tags along and sleeps in a tent. So if we went for say a 2 berth would it only have two seat belts.

It could well have more travelling seats & belts.

Ours is a 6 berth but only 5 travelling seats??

A common problem with motorhomes. A considerable number of models have less seat belted seats than beds. Not seen any the other way around.
What's more concerning is if the three of you go travelling together will that not be classed as a mass exodus from Sutherland? The place 'll be deserted.:giggle:

My peugeot boxer has 2 standard single seats - but I can replace the passenger seat with a dual seat. 2 bolts is all it takes.

Fiat & Citroëns are the same

Buying a dual seat is cheap, but you loose the ability to walk through from the cab to the hab area

You will need to check V5 for seating capacity & insurance

In my case, I had my van converted, registered & insured as a 'moto caravan' with 3 seats, but only fit the dual seat on the odd occasion

HI

I have a Carthago Malibu which has 4 belted seats but is only 2 berth (although there was an option of a third child's bed).

Cheers

When we looked for a new van our simple requirement started with 3 seatbelts 2 berth , 6m and the ability to stand at the cooker without my bum touching the toilet door. An eldis 5.4 m offered the right layout but only 2 seats, what about changing the passenger seat for a double or fitting the elddis folding seat (as in other models0 no way wouldn't comply with the cof c, not legal bla de.
The only solution we found was a 4 berth van, a few around ( was 6 less than 6m when we bought). Ended up and happy with a rapido 604.
