Can anyone recommend a supplier of bed slat frames with the aluminium frames ?
I’m looking to replace the stupid lift-out wooden ones on our Apache 700. Fed up of splinters and the faff of taking the whole base out to get sleeping bags etc out.

Thank you

Slight to minor!
Photos?

Sanding and varnishing with quick-dry Ronseal interior varnish may solve the splinters.
1 initial thin coat, 2 lightly sand, 3 final thinnish coat = lovely smooth satin professional finish.

If the bed could be made up in 2 halves you could also saw the wood in half, but depends upon the topology as you don't want to saw it in the wrong direction!

Thanks GPW but I was thinking more of making it hinged and also the old one is starting to split as well

You could look at IKEA for the slats but you may have to fabricate the aluminium frame to suit your needs. I used these in my fixed bed build and are really comfortable.

You could have a look at the Magnums website or call them, I know that they sell a double aluminium framed one because I bought one to use in my van.
