Scotland campsites 🏕️

Hi folks ,
All going well repair wise ,
Was contemplating taking the motorhome out next weekend feb ,
Possibly luss Loch Lomond or any recommendations welcome as in no some places closed & seasonal!
Regards 🙏
Just to the east of Oban is some lovely roads. I highly reccomend stopping at Cruachen Dam visitor centre specifically. I also really recommend doing the tour inside. Its worth it. I see a few places to stop the night on p4n in the area. I have only done day visits/pass through, but I plan to take my van there.

We are coming up next month, quite a few sites are closed but some are open, Scotland has quite a few CAMPRA Aires, we will be using some of them, some wild spots and some sites

I reference where to stay by Search for Sites app, plenty to pick from on there 👍 well worth the £6

Cheers , I’m planning on taking van out tomorrow unsure what’s open etc ,
Did you book in advance ?
No, didn't book in advance. I can't remember off hand if we just lucked out witht the right time, as they did regular tours. The entrance to the power station is something out of a bond movie. Definitely villains lair vibes.

But.... I just had a look at the webpage. And doh... they suspended tours from the 28th this month for upgrading. Still a good drive though, and the visitor centre is still open. But rather unlucky that.

Is this the same as britstops? I downloaded the app, and having a look around, its all similar. Just wondering if I have two of the same apps now? I don't plan to buy britstops membership, but the search for sites has no subscription I see.

Glenmore in the Cairngorms, open all year. IMO one of the nicest sites in Scotland. Stunning walks from the site. Next door is the Pine Martin for food and drinks.

Stay the night at some forestry sites is available.

Glen Lochy is a nice spot at the foot of Ben Lui. Cruachan Dam not far away. Think it’s £10 a night.
