Schengen Calculator

Hi,
Is that app iOS or Android?
There are many miscalculating, wrong Schengen calculators on the web.

It’s IOS
Checked it on my Mac Book and works a treat. But thanks for the heads up

Loads of ways of doing this and all sorts of helpful (and sometimes not so helpful) "calculators" on line. The (virtually) non-tech way of doing this is simply to use a calendar such as the A4 sized print outs you can download from, for example, timeanddate.com (https://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/create.html).

Then you just highlight the dates you intend to be in the Schengen zone and count back 180 days from (and including) whatever your final date is (i.e. the day you board the ferry, cross the border out of the zone or get on the shuttle) until you reach 180. Total up all the highlighted days in the 180 you have just counted and subtract the total from 90. The answer should be zero or a positive value - a minus number could mean you have miscounted or overstayed . . .

The App logo in the store is purple and called “ Schengen Calculator”
So far I’ve managed to input this and next years dates using most of the 90/180 days each time

this is the App, at last 🤷‍♂️

Looks OK to me - count back 180 from 18th June '22 gets you to 21 December '21 and it looks like you will have had 57 days which gives you the 33 to play with . . .

By my reckoning......
180 days from 31st Dec is 28th June with 57 days taken in schengen.
180 days from 17th jan is 16th July with 40 days taken in schengen.

😳😳

Unless we stand corrected!! ..Help us all 🤔🤔

That is all correct. What is the problem you see? Your second example doesn't include the 17 days in January so the total is 17 days less, which it is. But you can stay for another 33 days after 18 June before you hit the 90 day limit. This is why it gives a "last day" date of 21 July.

I'm counting back from 21st July, 180 days is 22nd jan. So only 40 days spent in schengen.

Oops - I made that mistake initially. The 21st July is just the "theoretical" last day you could stay based on what you've taken already. As the last actual day of staying is 18th June, the 180 day count back starts from then, hence the 57 days used and 33 left figures. Looking at it another way, there are 33 days from 18th June to 21st July so the result is the same whichever way you look at it. I think.

That's correct. It is only 40 days based on your proposed dates but you could stay on after 18 June until 21 July if you wanted.
