We did a tour up through Sweden four years ago and entered Sweden in early May it was a really nice tour however by the time we reached Arvidsjaur it was bitterly cold and lots of lakes completely covered in ice and lots of snow around that was around first week in June. We then travelled up as far as Karesuando and on into Finland then heading for the Baltic Coast back in Sweden.
you will need warm clothes even in Summer however we did enjoy the midnight sun and had no long dark winter nights.
