I'm a newbie
I hope I've posted in the right section ? We have the S6900 Ventura with Active Magnetic Mount. Not wanting to attach to windscreen the only place we can see on our 2015 Imala 615 is what I assume is pull up section in the centre of the front for maps to be clipped onto if that make any sense ? My question, is there anything to attach to this and would there be much vibration when travelling ? Please sensible answers as we are Newbies to Motorhomes. Thanks in advance.

Garmin do a couple of mounts one is beanbag and other is a friction mount which I think is better if you google Garmin mounts should find something??

As above..works well and it can be fitted any where. Daughter has one in her car, and works really well

You need to research them I think you will find they are pretty much the same? or you may find an adaptor

Yes we have the suction disk supplied with it but will not stick to the dashboard Phill.

the dash has a pattern on it that prevents it sticking. you can use one of the disks above that has a sticky pad on top of the dash then put the sat sucker onto that, then turn the sat nav around . the stick on pad is easily removed ( from the dash if needed ) with a little care and a bit of elbow grease.

Thanks for that I'll check them out. (y)

Used the 3M adhesive disc but found they unstick if they get too hot in the sun......not a problem in UK but annoying further south.

I used 'soft plastic' glue to stick the disc on (remove the sticky pad first & clean the disc thoroughly) it's has stuck for 4 years, so far.....

Another vote for the 3M adhesive disks. I’ve used them for years including 40+ degrees and they’ve always stayed firmly stuck.

I have been using a CD suction mount, it fits into you radio CD slot a treat.
It is also keeping the satnav at lower level so as not to be intrusive to your windscreen view.
It works really well and does not fall out, in fact the odd time the satnav has took a tumble was down to the suction cup, I lick and stick now.

We use a removable flexible silicone rubber mat that was sold under the name of “Bracketron” can’t fault it, it never moves as it has a very slightly tacky feel to the underside, unfortunately I can’t find a current seller but it’s very similar to this ebay item number 143204179560

I just clip the sucker mount under clip only the clip is holding it on and it has never moved over 1000’s of miles in Europe . View attachment 368562View attachment 368562View attachment 368562View attachment 368564View attachment 368564
In your case you can just lift up the flap that the clip is attached to and open up the dedicated phone or tablet holder that is built into it.

I can’t with my sat nav it has a built in camera that’s stops you clipping it in vertically and it’s not wide enough to go in horizontally ,plus even if it did fit I find the the clip a bit intrusive .?

A 6 inch nail will hold anything

I am jealous as my 2015 Fiat only has the standard flap. Do you want to swap? ::bigsmile:

even i wouldnt try knocking a 6 inch nail through a stick of 'gelli' - just utter madness and a sure fire way of damaging something .... ?
