Hi all,
Are 40cm satellite dishes any good?

Only need Freesat UK reception and we have a small, van based camper so storage is an issue.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year 🎄🙂

40cm should be ok for uk only although it's a little small. We use 80cm on our van and can get Freeview in most of France as well as uk.

40cm in the UK is fine, you may find that it is a bit sensitive to set up. Also, the further north you go in Scotland you may loose some channels.

Ok, thanks for that
Merry Christmas Jofang

This map might help for anyone interested in dish size coverage areas.

For our Maxview products, a small manual system like our tripod 55cm Precision packs down quite nicely for storage, or you could go for the even smaller 40cm suction pad Remora. Or there’s VuQube dome system for the roof.

To be fair however, there are numerous manual and automatic roof mount systems out there for all budgets, from lots of different manufacturers. So you’re totally spoilt for choice if you only want a system for UK use.
