Santander to Portsmouth ferry cancelled

Over in Spain locked down on a site and witnessed many Motorhomes rush off to Santander to get home quickly. Just looked on the Brittany Ferries site to see the next 3 sailing cancelled. No explanations given and can find no info on the web. Anyone know what is happening? Quick 600 miles to St Malo and hope for a space or 800 miles to Calais! France now shutting down in a similar way to Spain with some forums reporting Aires being closed and even rocks being thrown at motorhomes! (unconfirmed but believable given threat locals may associate with people coming from Spain)

I have just looked at the Brittany Ferries web site and it states the following ferry 'updates':

PORTSMOUTH TO SANTANDER / SANTANDER TO PORTSMOUTH
The following services, operated by Pont-Aven, have been cancelled.

• 17/03/20 Portsmouth to Santander 17:15
• 23/03/20 Santander to Portsmouth 15:15
• 24/03/20 Portsmouth to Santander 17:15
• 30/03/20 Santander to Portsmouth 15:15
• 31/03/20 Portsmouth to Santander 17:15
• 06/04/20 Santander to Portsmouth 15:15
• 07/04/20 Portsmouth to Santander 17:15

PLYMOUTH TO SANTANDER / SANTANDER TO PLYMOUTH
All services are cancelled until 12/04/20.

Pont Aven has been in dry dock for refit in Poland and was due to return to service on the 17th March, due to the present situation BF have revised schedules, the reasons for this are on the BF website.
