Planning on visiting San Sebastián for a couple of days at end of month. Previously stayed at wecamp site which is very convenient with regular bus. Reviews of site mixed particularly about poor organisation. Probably go again but wondered if anyone can recommend an alternative site with transport links?

We have booked camping Orio Kanpina and getting train into San Sebastián end of the month. Decision based purely on reviews.

I stayed at Orio recently and it is fine. The station is the other side of the river so a good walk. Prior to that I was at Zumaia but would say Orio is a better place. A "left field" option is to stay at St-Jean-de-Luz, on the bus 3 they sell a ticked for just over 5 euros which gets you the bus to Hendaye followed by the train to San Sebastian and return.

+1
We have stayed here. Orio is a pleasant little town/large village, with all the amenities, and a regular and direct little train into San Sebastian that works well.

The campsite is on the edge of the town, close to the beach, and is well maintained. IIRC it was an ACSI site too, but don't know if it still is. Would certainly stay here again.

Also a very useful site for stopping at prior to catching the ferry home.

We liked Orio - nice beach, although the waves are pretty fierce at certain times of the tide. It does get quite busy with Spanish families at certain weekends. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon to find site full signs up, but it was just while people were leaving.

Decided to try Wecamp as bus service so regular. Site changed a lot since last time here. A lot more bungalow/safari tent accommodations. Aire type pitches over road approx 60. 80 odd pitches on main site tightly packed. But site ok for convenience €27 per night. Just love San Sebastián

Going to Biarritz today hopefully find a nice site for a couple of days.

We were at the Wecamp site last month. Super convenient for bussing in to San Sebastian although getting there from Pamplona took us a more than interesting route through the backwoods. First pitch we were offered might have worked for a motorbike but they were trying to fit us in with the friends we were travelling with. Nice site - good bar/restaurant and facilities, a little haphazard maybe but nothing insurmountable.

The two CCP aires at Biarritz are OK. One close to Milady beach, the other near Lake Mouriscot. Bus stop into town around the corner from the first aire. If you are referring to the Dune du Pyla, that's right up near the Arcachon.

We visited the sand dune Dune du Pilat a week ago. It was easy enough to park up there Lots of spaces with other motorhomes
