Well, after much thought I've decided to mount the spare on the front of the RV.
I'm having a bracket made which will be welded underneath the front bumper onto the chassis.. the next thing is to find a hard plastic cover with a nice emblem on it.. I've Googled but all I can find are 4 x 4 wheel covers .. anyone know who supplies for a 22.5" wheel ?

Linda, can you source ?

Cheers

Work as a good bull bar to Jim:Wink:

Now all you gotta do is find some bulls to bar:Laughing::Laughing:

Hi Jim
Our new bus has the spare located under the front, between the chassis rails, forward of the axle. Have you thought about putting it there?
It would save you needing a cover......

Hi Keith..

I assume it has a wind up mechanism, this is the hard bit to find, there is plenty of space under the centre of the coach..

Cheers

I suppose that you want photos and dimensional drawings eh????
I will see what I can do at the weekend, bit I am confident that the wind up / down bit is easily achievable, maybe once I have sent you some pics we can chat about it and get something sorted out for you.....

Thanks Keith
I might go that way if I don't like it on the front.

Spare wheel Hoist

Hi

My rig came with hoist built underneath to carry spare, between the chassis rails aft of the fuel tank. Its made by Ultra-fab, South elkhart indiana. but is no longer shown on their site (www.ultra-fab.com )

If you want I can e-mail you an image of the fitting?

pete

Thanks Pete, I'm going with the front mount for the time being..

hi

Ok. Post it up if you decide to take a look and I`ll `Mail it to you.

Question. Is the golden lion pub still OK about r-v`s overnight? I fancy it as a stopover next Jan on way to dover.

Hi Jim,

If your looking for a wheel winch, would you be able to get one off the trailer part of a wagon??
