I am going to change all the o ring seals on the van gas regulator and hoses, got me thinking about fibre because some pig tails come with them, so are they better or should I get some more neooprene rubber ones. 🤔 Bob.

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
Use fibre.
Rubber/Neoprene/Viton 'O' rings can squidge/distort out of place when tightening the joint and fail to seal.
Where 'O' rings are required one of the mating surfaces will usually have a groove to locate/retain the 'O' ring.
As jockaneezer said, to be on the safe side replace like for like.

Thanks for your replies I was thinking fibre, I probably over tighten rubber, and I know I've replaced pigtails and they vary some have rubber some fiber, 😉 so thought I know I will Google truma pigtail imagines maybe give me clue and they have both like this one rubber on the bottle fibre on the regulator. 🙄 😁 Bob.
