Rubber insulation strip on hab door coming away

I don't see the logic of the 'join' being at the bottom where it is most likely to get scuffed as you go in and out. I've tried a couple of glues, and clamps, no luck.

Anyway, what do people reckon is the best glue/method to fix this? I keep tripping on it. Does it need replacing?

The join is at the bottom to let any moisture out (and prevent it getting in). Our van has a small metal strip to clamp the seal against the door frame - a bit like a carpet threshold thingy so it may be worth trying to find something along those lines.

Assuming it's a hollow "tube" (the bit above the spring wired flange) push and glue a splice into it, eg a piece of rubber tube. This should hold the two ends together and make sure the wired flange is compressed enough to grip the door frame
