I am learning fast 😊
I have been advised that my thermostat on my boiler needs changing as it is not functioning properly. Does anyone know where the thermostat is situated in a 2010 Burstner with Fiat Ducato Chassis? It is apparently somewhere in the vehicle?? Thanking you in advance for your help. (y)

It’s a little black dome no bigger than a finger tip probably over the entrance door🤔here’s one
Thanks Alan. With your reference, I also managed to find it on Amazon.(y).The reason Iam thinking it is the sensor is because when I put the setting to 4, it gets very hot. Then down to 3 it switches the boiler off. The boiler stayed off unti we woke up frozen in the MH. Temp inside got down to 11 deg. The sensor did not pick it up. but back on 4-5 it worked. back to 2-3... it does not trigger the boiler. Are my assumptions correct?

The other question I wanted to ask everyone, does the Truma combi boiler work as a normal combi boiler?. ie hot water on demand. Ours one shower at a time. Wait 1h before the 2nd shower. Is it nromal? I am looking at having the boiler serviced. I bought the MH one year ago and I am pretty sure the previous owner have not had it serviced. Any advice? Thank you

It does sound like it’s suspect at £30 for such a small thing it’s worth trying and if it turns out not to be the problem at least you’ll have a spare this link may be of help?

Mou and Iryna The Truma combi heater (For heating and/or hot water) is not like a house combination boiler and does not supply hot water on demand , It needs time to heat the water that it holds and then needs time to heat the replacement water as it refills during use.
I do not think they are normally serviced . But Truma do recommend that it is descaled on a regular basis.

Thank you for this. So for a family of 3 we have to take it in turn to have a shower :giggle:. I will defintely take it for a service, to be safe. I am sure the previous owners did not do it, looking at the way they looked after the MH. Thank you for the clarification. (y)

Thank you Alan for the comment and the link. Yes you are right. I can have the thermostat delivered in 1-2 days. It seems easy to install. I will try to locate it this morning. I was told it is by the front door. I will look around the passenger and driver's door. Thank you for the link. I shall, for sure, read it (y)

The sensor/thermostat is only a thermistor so I don't think it's the problem. A thermistor is a resistor who's resistance varies with temperature.
To prove it what you can try is when the boiler is not working if you disconnect it the boiler should turn on with the fan at full speed.

I have looked everywhere by the entrance door, both of the driver and the passenger door. I cannot find anything that resemble what you sent me. Does any have a Fiat Ducato Chassis with Truma Boiler who would advise me the exact location of the thermostat? Thank you

I do not have a contro panel. The boiler is inside the cupboard. Maybe I need to check there??
You must have you were saying "when I put the setting to 4, it gets very hot. Then down to 3 it switches the boiler off."

You haven't said what model boiler it is I assume it is either a C6002 or a C6?

A photo of the boiler and the controller would help.
