I have a classic 33ft RV. Need to sort out a small leak coming from the roof AC unit. At the same time i like to repaint the the roof. Does anyone know what is the prefered brand. I live in North Cambridgeshire.
Many thanks

Hi Burl

We have used the roof paint sold by Stateside (Lindy-C) and it is highly recommended!

Look for an 'elastomeric' paint. Here, we can buy the stuff at a hardware/DIY store; It's made for the roofs of mobile homes (something like a cross between a static caravan and a house).

Please excuse me for inexperience on here

I use to be and still am a member of the classic winniebago site. But as i am getting rid of the rig and have the sportscoach i dont think i be on it that much. The only thing i will use it for is all the stuff on American RV engines as they have a wealth of info on them up to 1986 i think.

They even have a map for members to put where they are in the world so everyone know where a certain member is. Now that is cool

Sorry. im waffeling on on the wrong thread.

I might pop in while I'm over there and buy Some Tom.:thumb:

The only problem is getting it back in the hand luggage.

 You may find that if your Aircon has an internal cover that if you remove it. You can tighten the 4 bolts that tension the springs holding the Aircon in postion. That it may solve your leak problem.

PS. Forgot to mention. The gasket that seals the Aircon to the roof does shrink over time. Hence the need to re-tension the spring bolts.

I'm sure I've seen gasket/seal kits for these.

Do you know if they are available for this one John?

I suppose EPDM Sealant will sort it otherwise, if tightening it does not work.
