We're over 3500kg. Tax used to be £165. I'm being shown a renewal figure of £171 online. Is that right?

It’s the gross figure surely, £6 multiplied by Millions of registered vehicles 😳 quite a number.
but also EV's that have been free will now pay £195, so muuuch more for Rachel from accounts/HR/catering - delete as required. Hopefully all this extra will be literally put into potholes.

EV's should pay way more if based on the damage they do to infrastructure with their extra weight 🤷

And yet a 3.5t motorhome pays £360 and a 4 tonne motorhome pays £171? But then it also depends how many miles a vehicle drives.

It's not £6 per vehicle, across the board, I think. I recall reading that some car tax will double to nearly £500. Or from £500. Don't recall exactly but it switched me off thinking about buying one of several cars. 😮‍💨

I already pay £710 on my car, so don’t want any rises, in fact I only renewed it last month.

Yes I was looking at CLK 350 convertible from 2009. The last year on the c-class platform. Over 700 gbp to tax it. I read it would double but on reading things tonight, it seems, only new cars will be hit with that.
