Thanks in advance .

I am in france and on my way home to the UK. I am then coming back out but not in the Motorhome on Thurs/Friday

We're here now and have been for 6 weeks. Been driving along parts of the tdf route today in Provence. We have met so many lovely friendly people at every aire. Mainly French but also from Belgium and Italy. This evening a lovely lady came over to chat soon after we arrived on site and we've been practicing our French and English.

In France Near Nancy on our way back from Switzerland everyone friendly.
No Brits about as yet. Everyone wearing face masks indoors in France, not so in Switzerland though
The UK Government form to fill in is a bit of a faf.

We are due out on an early tunnel on the 27th !

and then no one looks at it, anyway.

we’re just back, but didn’t encounter anything but friendliness. No Brits, but then there weren’t any in Italy last year while we were there either. I think it’s not so popular with families in school hols.

we have a booking on the 21st August but may try to change it for a few day’s later as we may need to have a later set off, nothing to do with Covid just life is getting a bit hectic with dentists and van swap and handovers.
follow my “the journey begins“ post I will be very honest.

Weve been here for 3 weeks no issues. Normandy and Loire most wearing face coverings no problems with not being French. Look after yourself and keep safe you wont have a problem. Enjoy your travels.

22nd August for us. We were going to France and then into Italy. Now heading straight to Germany, Austria and Italy. Any media warning signs and we will go back to Germany, always seems the safe option.

29th for us, but hope to bring it forward to 26th. Depends on Camper UK visit to look at gearbox and service on 24th.

Yesterday we decided we would not go to Dubai on 12th Sept as planned. We are thinking a Euro tour in the MoHo so above and related post's most welcome. The Q14 on return is not an issue (it it's still in place by our return)

You have had a couple of replies querying if that's possible. I assume that as long as you are exiting the country then it's ok. Hopefully we will be making a few journeys to move goods and chattels in the next couple of months I just hope that they think of something other than quarantine before too long.

Bit of an issue if the French ‘retaliate’as reported in my paper this morning.

“The French government is expected to retaliate tomorrow by introducing a reciprocal policy requiring British holidaymakers to stay indoors for 14 days when they arrive for their holiday.”

Unless the French bring in new laws it will be voluntary like last time. We're nearly all grown adults so the decision will hopefully be down to the individual

Why would they do that? Our re infection rate is much lower than theirs.

If your good with the Quarantine on your return?. Then why Not?. What got me was the 2 little snowflakes on Sky News Yesterday, Moaning that they had to cut short their Holiday, just so they could avoid quarantine!. The BAME one, saying "I have more to do, I`m not being ordered by anyone what to do". So for the sake of a few hours, He`s quite happy to (potentially) carry infection, and spread it about. Nice one!!. With "friends" like that, who needs enemies?.
What a disgusting comment from you. What has their ethnicity got to do with this? I see you don't mention the ethnicity of the other one. Also it's offensive and lazy to refer to an individual as BAME. This is a term that refers to a huge and varied group of people not a single individual.

Err, if they singled out what 'minority' the 'BAME' person was from that would be more offensive!

So no need to mention it at all.....................unless it's an opportunity to remind us what "they" are like.
Agree! Shall we move on to what the heading of the thread is about??? i.e. Who's going to France?
