I would like to fit a reversing camera to my Rapido Van. I am told it comes pre wired. Can anyone recommend a good system. I like the twin camera at the rear which looks down and back. Don’t want to mount anything on the dash so thinking about the rear view mirror type monitor. Is this a DIY job or something left to the professional. All view welcome.

Pre-wiring may not accommodate the extra wire required for twin cameras.
A professional would do the job better.

Pre-wiring just means that there's a wire already in place but as so many motorhomers find out the hard way, it doesn't mean that the wire fits any kit from an off the shelf purchase.

Lots of dealers just add their own wires when they fit their own kits or in some circumstances a vehicle electrician will have to splice open and modify the pre-wiring to get an aftermarket kit to fit.

If your 'pre-wiring' line is a 6-pin plus type then a vehicle leccy should in theory be able to use the 6 individual wires to support a two rear camera set-up.

It would be easier if someone with a Rapido came along and said what kit fitted a Rapido directly so I would wait for further input from the other members.

Good luck,

Andrew
