They work great, but they’re only as good as the battery power behind them, I had one it was great but unfortunately the battery power wasn’t up to it. I’ve upgraded to a full victron set upHas anyone any used one of these and is it any good?
That's a shame, it's 100mm+ longer than the Sunshine one so won't hang in the same place where I have the current one fitted. They work great, but they’re only as good as the battery power behind them, I had one it was great but unfortunately the battery power wasn’t up to it. If anyone wants one they can have this one for £75 plus postage![]()
I fitted 2000w under the drivers seat. Just fits! Fiat ducato 2015 hymer. If the seat bases are the same it's completely hidden! That's a shame, it's 100mm+ longer than the Sunshine one so won't hang in the same place where I have the current one fitted.View attachment 1054664

Are you going to either the Swaffham bash, Bridlington, or Drax. If so I’ll have it.They work great, but they’re only as good as the battery power behind them, I had one it was great but unfortunately the battery power wasn’t up to it. We have a 3000w and never had a problem in the just over three years we've had it, does what it says on the box !!Has anyone any used one of these and is it any good?
Ive got one , used it for two years infrequently and no problems. Have tested the output with (good quality,as cheapies wont work with its output) multimeter and its steady at 230V. Very happy with it but as always with these quality may vary with batchesHas anyone any used one of these and is it any good?
I’ve seen them on there. Good price too.I’m temptedThanks for all your replies Magnum motorhomes have an offer on the 2000w one wich is plenty for my use will order one now.
That space currently has, 280A/H Fogstar. Shunt.Remote shutdown unit. 2 x Buss bars. Fuses. Lots of 35mm wire, doubled up for 70mm supply. Ram jammed full. Passengers seat has, Elektrobloc. Anderson Sockets, Solar controller. B2B, Fogstar 40a charger. + lots.of wiring, again completely full.I fitted 2000w under the drivers seat. Just fits! Fiat ducato 2015 hymer. Ah yes, being an A class you get that extra space at the front, that helps considerably.Wow!
My 280ah lithium is in my usual place adjacent to the seat. The b2b is under the passenger seat. The inveryor, busbars, fuses, step controller and fiat additional fusebox is under the drivers seat!
TBH I would have loved to fit a 3000w but it was about 10cm too long... At 6m I can't have everythingAh yes, being an A class you get that extra space at the front, that helps considerably.

No.Does the pass through power stay active if the inverter is turned off?
Which is well enough for us.Pass through is limited to 10A
Yes, the passthrough works with the inverter off. Obviously then it doesn't work as a UPS as if the power goes off the inverter won't automatically take over, but it does mean that if you don't really use it in that way then you don't need to leave the inverter on unless you're using it via the battery supply.Hi,
I have a couple of questions about the 2000W Renogy - wondering if anyone has the answers...
1) Does the pass through power stay active if the inverter is turned off?
2) Is the pass through power limited by the 2000W rating of the inverter? That is, if you have mains input so that the inverter is just passing power through from the mains input to the output, is it happy allowing that mains pass through to go above 2kw?
cheers,
Robin
I fitted my renogy 2000w under the drivers seat. Just fits. 2015 fiat hymerHi folks,
thanks for the answers - interesting about the input power connector only being theoretically rated at 10A (not something I had considered). If they supply a plug in cable with the device then ought that be fused at 10A if the connector is 10A? I suppose on the upside, neither a 10A fuse or a connector rated at 10A will have anything bad happen to them instantly at 11 or 12A, so a short or small excursion above 10A would cause no real harm. As a point of reference, I just looked at the fuses in some of the plugs on kettle leads in my 'big box of random cables' and found 3A, 5A and 13A fuses...
Choice of 2000 or 3000W model will come down to space - trying to find spaces to put this that doesn't eat significantly into the main storage spaces of the van (only 6M). Similarly a for separate transfer switch - space is a consideration.
I have also been digging around for info about the remote switch, and it looks like people have worked out the pin out for it - given that and a spot of electronics, it should be possible to rig it so that the inverter is set to off when the 12V van power is switched off, which avoids the hassle of having to remember to switch multiple things on/off
cheers,
Robin
