I'm hoping to swap out the grill for an oven at some point but the previous owners have put the status aerial in a very inconvenient place! I'm also thinking a canoe on the roof would be a nice addition and there are vents in the way everywhere else.
They just lashed the wires in for it and they bother me. I know, I'm being pedantic but what makes it all the more frustrating is directly opposite the grill is a full height wardrobe, complete with the pre-wired connections for an aerial to be fit in there.

Whats the best way to go about filling the gaping hole that would be left in the roof? Is the risk of water ingress so great I should leave it as is? I usually do like the phrase, if it's not broke don't fix it
