Does anyone use an app for recording where they have stayed, costs etc, if so which one?

Or are Funsters still using paper and pencil, spreadsheets etc?

I’m married to the guru of spreadsheets, he records everything from miles travelled per day, fees, whether we have had hook up or a free aire and what we spend on day to day living. It works for us we ,like to know where the euros go and what’s left in his Off shore bank account. Currently into week 13 of 19 touring Europe.

Pinbox, its an app on IOS and you can show aires or campsites or indeed anything else together with pictures you might take and text, also co ordinates. I have set mine so that I can see maps on each country, France,Germany, UK etc. It's a good way of saving and retrieving much information and its free.

Thanks but I have Android

We use an A5 diary I made up in MS Publisher with relevent columns of milage, stopovers, fuel, water etc. We simply fill it in daily as we go.

Myself i couldn’t care less about logging where and when and what it costs I just enjoy being there but her in doors does keep a record in the funster yearbook it keeps her busy while I open another tinny :wine:

And another for the Funster diary !
Only trouble is, I hate looking back as I realise how much sites etc have risen in cost since we started

I don't log site costs purely because "it is what it is".

Bit like the cost of fuel, we can't change that either ?‍♂️

I keep a blog and have a few followers. They are all both interested and amused by some of the detail I include which also covers costs of campsites, restaurants, and good wine.

'er indoors is like that, she has eased off a bit lately. She gave up trying to track my cash years ago.
All I know is our best effort so far is 22 days camping total cost €21. :D

Most likely her Biro ran out after 3 days and she was too tight to buy another one.

You de man Lenny.
Even I paid £6.50 for overnight parking last night, for I think the first time this year. We are on the sea front at Aberystwyth and I needed a TV signal to watch the F1 last night.
I have noted it down in the diary.

I have a manual journal that I fill in when we are away. I do record fuel costs and usage and mileage plus where we have been but I don't always record camp site fees.

Funster Diary for mileage, costs etc BUT also comments on the journey and the overnight place.

Spreadsheet for mileage, costs (inc food/non-food). It uses conditional formatting to highlight variations based on various criteria.

All summaries are then transferred to a "Trips" sheet. It was useful to see that 30 days in Spain last year cost less than 7 days in New Forest. [That of course excludes the cost of the ferry.]

No but what I do know that they are getting bl##dy expensive.
