First moho 11/2013, second 11/2014 current from 09/2019.
Hi, I have a telescopic ladder that has had its best days and is now dangerous to use
Can you recommend a brand that makes good telescopic ladders at reasonable prices?

Thank you

not long enough
we have similar to above and was just to comment that it might not be tall enough for safe access to roof, but now see the link is to a 3.8m ladder we must have the 3.2m version which only just reaches above the roof line, just about OK to get up nearly impossible to get back on again

good ladders and this is a good price (y)

Weve just bought one from parkers( found on line when googling ).
Ordered over phone nx day delivery
£73.inc vat p&p. 4.2 metres long.
All adverts seemed to be the same ladders.
Said was lightweight but not that light in
Reality .but then must be strong enough for purpose.

what do you people use to stop it damaging the side of the MH, some sort of foam or is there something specific to these ladders that just goes over them?

Hi,Zac, I use a piece of pipe insulation tied on the top rung with a couple of wire ties.
Works for me.
Cheers,Dave(y)
Ps don’t lean ladder on side of van, rest it against the roof side, usually stronger.

Thanks, I have one of these at home but never thought of using it on the MH. To get on and off the roof the ladder would need to go way past the top of the roof.
Then you cold put the foam on the rung needed at roof height when fully opened leaving you some to hold onto while getting on and off the roof
Cheers, Dave(y)

I am guessing the one i have is slightly taller than than the 3.8m as it measure just over 90cm compacted, the one on the link say 86cm. With this in mind i just tested this on my motorhome which is 2.98m high and although it certainly reached with no issues i would not feel safe getting on or off the roof unless someone was stood on the bottom of it. You are at the end of the rungs pretty much even on the one i have and it feels as though the bottom could just flick out, they will certainly be useful to some and it is much lighter than my massive step ladder that comes out into 3 sections so you canm just step on and off the roof with no help. never going to fit that in the MH though :(.

Would a trampoline be lighter and fold up smaller? Think of the fun you could have washing the roof!:D

That’s a blinking rip off as well. No wonder shops going out of business

We will be in Spain at Xmas and new year but that’s a little way off yet.

I'm in Spain for another 5 or 6 weeks then going in to Portugal till November.

I was wanting to get one to use while over here but more a just incase than necessity at present so I'll probably just pick one up when back in UK at Christmas
