Hi, we should make the Med coast of France today and we’re hoping for a recommendation for a nice place to park up somewhere along the coast. Happy with a campsite also, if they’re open!

Around Perpignan also.

Thanks in advance.

We loved Gruissan. Aire is nothing to look at but if you park in the edge (left side) you can walk through the open bushes snd you’re on the water. We sat out there reading for hours. Easy cycle into village with nice boulangerie and restaurants. Free from 1st November. We cycled

up to Narbonne too, along the canals. If you do go there highly recommend cycling down to the chalets where there’s a seafood place - you buy a plate and choose either cooked lobster/crab/prawns or raw mussels/oysters … magic!

Also if you’re going to Perpignan lorger stayed somewhere near a lac, I think - possibly Villeneuve de la Raho? Near Perpignan, Collioure is lovely to visit - campsites may be shut now but there is an aire and I think the cost includes bus into the town.

We go to Argeles Sur Mer and we have found a 4* site on ASCI (it's 12€ still just checked) Camping Pujol ( https://www.campingcard.co.uk/franc...les/argeles-sur-mer/campsite-de-pujol-104070/) - - it's in a flux or was as they were doing changes but the price was good and the power is 16amps the pool was nice too though just noticed it's lost a star still good for the price

The campsite we stayed at closed on 1/11 but the one below is open all year and ACSI too. We loved the area for cycling on paths, beach access, pleasant small resort, bus service to Perpignan. 3 major supermarkets all within an easy walk. We have not stayed or visit this site but went past it lots and it looked fine

Another vote for Gruissen need to go to the four winds one by the mariner, beach one is only open in the sumner.
Also its free now I had to pay €9 in October that hurt.

Still €9!

Less and less is free these days. No worries i don't think 9e is bad for a night staying in Southern France. Services too so we can enjoy some long showers and recuperate from all the driving.

They must have just changed the rules. The girl in kiosk was telling me to come back in a month as it would be free from
November (I thought she said 1st but maybe was 15th) …

For a video to help find the way to the Gruissan aire click on this link.
Now quite old as it’s from 2014 but nothing much has changed apart from the price.
