Reccomend me a winter weekend away

We haven't used the Knaus Haus over winter before, but are determined not to leave it in storage until Easter. So can the hive mind reccomend some great sites to visit in the winter.

Needs to be within a couple of hours of Peterborough, good for cycling and walking and good places to eat nearby.
