Rear view camera US

The rear view camera (not just a reversing camera) which looks to be the same age as my 2007 Elnagh has just stopped working. I don't have a clue with these things so I was wondering if you guys know of anything I should try before I call in the expensive brigade?

What make, do you have a pic of it? A lot simply plug in.

Thank you Dorset Driver for your thread, it seems reversing cameras hold more interest than rear view cameras, in particular I found the in depth post by 596 very helpful. There are obvious similarities which I can check out.
