So, I have just had an A frame fitted to our fiat 500 and hooked up to our swift kontiki tonight for the first time. It is a Fiat ducato 2.3 180bhp. As soon as I plugged in, everything on the rear of motorhome has stopped working, lights, indicators, reversing lights and break lights. Everything else on motorhome is working, only rear lighting elements. When connected no lights on car either!! The car all works fine when I disconnect. This is the first time we have hooked it up. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

I think you'll have to depend on the fitting firm to sort it.
Modern vehicle systems are pretty sophisticated and if you fiddle about with doing any suggestion on here the fitting firm won't be very appreciative/understanding/co-operative/sympathetic.
But you can't do much harm checking the relevant fuses to see if any have blown.

Yeah I agree thanks. All fuses inside cab are fine and will check box under the bonnet during the light tomorrow.

There are also some fuses at the bottom of the pillar behind the drivers seat, behind the plastic cover, although I am not sure what they're for??

I had this, old van wiring for tow bar, and a new (to me) fiat500 toad. Exactly as you describe, solved with a replacement tow bar electric kit.

Oh right sounds straightforward, the van and towbar is not 3 years old yet but I suppose could be the issue. Thank you
