Looking at the COVID19 road map we see this

Stage three (no earlier than 17 May):
  • People can meet in groups of up to 30 outdoors
Stage four (no earlier than 21 June):
  • All legal limits on social contact will be removed

So until the 21st of June we can have no rallies with more than 30 people attending.

From the 12th April, we can run temporary campsites, where members turn up as individuals and remain as individuals throughout. However, Rallies of more than 30 people, that have group activities of any kind, will have to wait til after the 21st June.

"Special Mention" the Thetford bash
The Thetford Bash (which will have group activities, rather fun ones) is a private event organised by John Jaws and he has taken steps with local council and law enforcement to ensure it can go ahead. (Remember this event is not a MotorhomeFun event using our exemption and insurance, rather John will ask you to sign a disclaimer when you arrive)

Does this cover Scotland as well?

Well in a United Kingdom I'd lke to think so, but devolved nations are doing their own assessments.

Maybe some Scottish Funsters will point to when large groups are allowed to gather again. I have no idea

I think the biggest casualty will be the bring and buy, that will have to have activities curtailed or put back. I've spoken to Toledo today they are enroute from Spain, we'll discuss it further when they are home.

It is a campsite in its own right. And, from memory, there were no organised group activities in the last one I attended. So we turn up as individuals?

A large group activity such as the bring and buy in a rally field is probably illegal. As a temporary campsite, with no group activities at all, then we might get away with it.

"Small scale indoor and outdoor events can resume subject to capacity constraints (to be confirmed following stakeholder engagement)"

So, as far as I can see no specific limit (but small scale) as each event subject to discussions.

The bring and buy is not an organised single event. Instead anybody who wants to sell something just puts it in front of of their motorhome and sits and waits for people to wander by. They can do it an anytime over the weekend. Never saw more than 10, let alone 30 standing round the same display when I was there. Maybe that is because of the rubbish I was selling.. :ROFLMAO:

As far as I know it is held on part of a permanent campsite, the rest of which will be open to the public.

Having said all that it is up to Polly and Dave to discuss the details with you, as they are the organisers, not me.

No. Travel into and out of Scotland is still banned, unless for essential purposes. From 2nd April, the 'Stay at Home' is eased to 'Stay Local' [within your local authority area], and, if infections and deaths continue to fall, travel within Scotland will be permitted. There may be a further lifting of restrictions on 26th April; a further update will be issued on, or around [usually shortly before] that date.

The gatherings of groups of people are likely to be restricted. The current expectation is that outdoor gatherings will be limited to 6 adults from up to 3 households. There may be clarification on 26th April re campsite opening dates, but there is still a 'holidays from June onwards' general note in the PROPOSED timetable.

Jim FYI

This out from C&MC yesterday.
+++++
We’re really looking forward to welcoming you back onto our UK Club campsites very soon and are as excited as you are to start the 2021 touring season.

Ahead of your upcoming booking(s), we’d like to update you on the latest information regarding toilets, showers and other shared facilities on our UK Club campsites.

Club campsites in England - Based on the latest Government guidance, we are unfortunately unable to open our toilets or showers and other indoor shared facilities (excluding receptions) when our Club campsites in England reopen on 12 April. The provisional date for reopening these facilities is currently 17 May 2021, however this will be dependent on Government guidance. Service points and waste disposal facilities will be available and open for use, operated in line with Government guidelines.

If you wish to book a tent camping pitch in England, please contact the relevant Club campsite directly and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please be aware that due to the restrictions, our facilities will not be open and you will need to have your own self-contained on board facilities such as toilet, washing and kitchen facilities.

If you are due to arrive at a campsite on the reopening day (12 April), we’re pleased to advise that you can arrive from 9am.

Club campsites in Scotland - We are still awaiting further guidance and provisional dates from the Scottish administration regarding the use of shared facilities. Service points and waste disposal facilities will be available and open for use, operated in line with Government guidelines.

If you are due to arrive at a campsite on the reopening day (26 April), we’re pleased to advise that you can arrive from 9am.

Club campsites in Wales - Our campsites in Wales are now open, though currently to Welsh residents only until further notice. Based on the latest guidance from the Welsh administration, we are unfortunately unable to open our toilets or showers and other indoor shared facilities (excluding reception) until further notice. Service points and waste disposal facilities will be available and open for use, operated in line with Government guidelines.

If you wish to book a tent camping pitch in Wales, please contact the relevant Club campsite directly and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please be aware that due to the restrictions, our facilities will not be open and you will need to have your own self-contained onboard facilities such as toilet, washing and kitchen facilities.

We understand and appreciate that the above updates may affect your upcoming Club campsite booking(s). Therefore if you don’t have your own facilities on board, or do not wish to use your own facilities, we would kindly ask that you perhaps consider amending your booking to another date later in the year.
