Hi All

Fairly new to this business and wanted to get the collective view on how one should park the Moho for on street parking and car parks.

I’ve a 7m Low Profile and thus will hang out of most spaces, so what do I do, and what must I do if I’m parking on the street in a parking bay?

Can I take up 2 spaces, 4 spaces? Should I buy multiple parking tickets? Or should I stick only to bays large enough (if there are any)? Will I get a parking fine if I take up multiple spaces?

Can I park in a bus park, lorry park?

And are the answers to all of the above completely different in France, Italy, Austria etc?

Questions, questions!

The number of tickets you require will be dependent on the local parking conditions. Some will require two tickets, some will not.

I the spaces are not long enough, look for an outside bay that has a grass verge at the back of it. You can reverse into it and overhang at the back. Make sure all your wheels are within the bay.

I try and only park only where I can back over the grass at the edges. Street parking is OK but try not to block peoples windows. There's much more free parking in France so little problems.

Movan!!! - Just beat me to it :Eeek: :Eeek: :Eeek:

parking in the street is the same as you would a car ... just be considerate and make sure street is wide enough.. don't block drives and if staying overnight on the way somewhere, try an industrial estate if nothing better.

If I park in, for example, an Alde car park to buy food .. even uf no time restriction on notice board, I ask the check out person if it ok for me to leave my mh there for one/two hours whilst I go to shops or for lunch, etc. Never been turned down yet.

...but I wasn't born that way.. :(

Ah yes, I remember you talking of rocket fuel.

Note for men: Assume nothing, make sure you do a full hair examination before making a judgement.

And some will issue a penalty even if you have more than one ticket (Edinburgh for example).

This is a fantastic resource http://www.motorhomeparking.co.uk/ written by one of our Funsters GJH

Yes as Puddleduck states some car parks specifically prohibit multiple tickets. i.e. even a car with a trailer on is not allowed to be parked even by buying 2 tickets
