Any recommendations for pub stopovers on the Wirral ?

Why not go to New Brighton. Stay free on the sea front there.
Several pubs close by inc a Weatherspoon in town and a Harvester just up the hill.

Apparently the Harp in Neston is, if it is would be nice, the Harp's right on the Marsh side

They will let you stop over on the car park, never used it myself as we were on the CC site nearby but other I know have used it
