We are travelling from Wales to the Channel tunnel and are looking for a pub stopover just off the M4 around Maidenhead. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if they do overnight parking.

Not been there but gets good reviews and a big car park?
Fairly central too.

Most pubs seem to have small car park in maidenead?

Try the white hart at holyport see if they still do stopovers

We have stayed here before.
Very good.

If you are on facebook, there is a very useful page called Uk pub stopovers for motorhomes & campervans. You should be able to get some suggestions there.

Assuming your leaving the M4 at J9 and heading down to the M3 then either of these might do..

Although to be honest it's a MUCH easier drive to the tunnel late evening. I've done it several times, leave Cardiff around 6pm just as the traffic is dying down then by the time you get to the M3 and M25 it's quiet and a nicer drive. Stop over close to the tunnel. The M25 in the morning should be avoided if possible 😩

Definitely try to get further than the M25 before stopping. The morning traffic will be very bad and you will usually have unexpected delays.
