Hi all you tec minded people. Please can someone help.
Changed my password for my hotmail account, iPad and iPhone don’t seem to be synching and all 3 seem to have different password now, have also lost several emails with pick up information. Contacted Microsoft helpline had notification of reply on my phone but nothing there when i looked for it. going slowly even more crazy.

Will it work okay online? Maybe try removing the accounts and reinstalling them if you can.

Slow down. Breath!
Does your email still work in a browser?
Is it only the iPhone/iPad where it's not syncing?

If "yes" desktop OK, & it's just bad on apple tech. Delete the accounts on them & carefully re-add the settings.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Can get them all to work, but, have no old emails from the date i need on any, however have just had a message to say my parcel is awaiting collection, wrote down the number before opening the phone as some notifications are being lost. On Pc when i log into the account with my password there seems to be another password flash up before it opens. Am thinking my pc sorry laptop is compromised.

On Apple email settings, there'll be one for how far back you want the emails to sync to.
I've kept work email at 3 days
But personal maybe 3 weeks.
But I don't manage my Inbox too rigidly and can't sync much more than that - certainly not at the expense of my music storage :D2

If I were you I’d be changing my passwords as soon as you can if your desktop is Microsoft that’s probably the one that’s been hacked🤔

Hacked? what? why?
Oh! The mislaid pick up emails?
Not sure that means anyone's been hacked

In the longer term - make use of the apple keychain password manager. As long as you have a nice, secure password for your apple ID, you can use the password manager to provide you with super-secure passwords for anything online that you need a username/password style log-in for. Your iphone/ipad will also notify you if any of your passwords are insecure or have been seen on any lists of known, compromised passwords.

Hacked probably wrong phrase perhaps compromised as Ruby has said but I would be changing passwords just to be sure🤔

Changed my password for my hotmail account,
How did you change it? If it was on the pc laptop the Apple devises will not have changed the password in the keychain.

Changing my password was what caused all the problems i the first place. Didn’t use any links to do it either.

it was being informed by my security that my email address had been compromised that led me to change the passwords. Didn’t follow a link.
Fortunately had printed out some information about ferry. Collecting the parcel, that I had lost all information for, tomorrow. So am now nicely chilled, thank you all for your help. Will be using only iPad and phone till I can get the laptop checked.

Does the iPad sign in to the mail account ok and if so how does it access the account, via the native mail app, internet or a gmail app?

hot mail is rubbish i dont think its improved since 2000
Hotmail is dead. Outlook is the backend.
