General Information
This road was by-passed by the A38 expressway. It is the old 3 lane road, up/down Haldon Hill. It basically only serves the odd house on the hill and as a route to a couple of villages but from a rather obtuse direction so the road is very little used. I have seen a few lorries using it as a rest area. There are no facilities and it is a hill so it won't be flat.I have attached a pic with the road and parking stretch marked in red.
Northbound access is off the A38 expressway 2nd on the left past the Service Area, with a diner, and Costa Coffee and garage at the top of the hill.
Northbound access is also possible off the A380, turn left at the bottom of Telegraph Hill and go up the hill but there is no exit at the top, to leave, turn around and go back down the hill.
Southbound access is difficult and convoluted but possible, turn left at the top of Haldon Hill off A38 at Haldon Racecourse, go under underpass, turn left, rejoin A38 Northbound then immediately take the left fork.
I have put this info in the Local Guide section but thought a post here would bring it to member's attention
