Hey all,
I'll do my best to be brief, but you all know I do tend to go on a bit! Here we go then - we have been very fortunate and come into a bit of money. Well, quite a lot of money, around 50k. We weren't expecting this and it has come as a bit of a bombshell to be honest.
We love Brunhilde - our 20 year old Burstner, but we are of course kinda tempted to get something a bit newer etc. That's fine, there are plenty of options around in our price range.
We live in Poland and since we bought our van we have been using it regularly (our lockdown laws and guidelines are different to the UK and we have obeyed them at all times!). This includes during the winter. Our winters are COLD. This year for example, we were away in -23. Our van has a double floor system and both our grey and fresh tanks are inboard. We didn't have any problems even if we did go through gas like it was going out of fashion! Also important - we prefer to wild camp so i'm not really going to have the "leave the grey tank open with a bucket under it" option available as I won't have anywhere to ditch the bucket!
So, bearing the above points in mind - what level of winterisation do we need?
