Portsmouth to Bilbao Ferry

Going on Ferry on Thursday and it says get there at least 45 mins before departure.If you get there a few hours before can they accommodate you for a meal etc in the port or are we better stopping a few miles away for a meal/ refreshments ?

Go to Port Silent which is only 7mls from the Ferry port.

It's a large marina where you will be made welcome by the security on site (there's their phone number at the entrance to the car park.)
At the marina there's a variety of shops, stores. There's a Wetherspoons and I believe a Harvester.

You only need to phone security at Port Solent if you are staying overnight.

Good place to kill time. Had a nice meal at Zizi. There last September With many other motorhomers either awaiting departure or just off ferry.

As said Great place to stop over , phone Security give them your Reg, Two nights Max , No Services though (Black Waste ect).

If you don't want a full-on meal, Gracie Anns upstairs between O Sole Mio and the Harvester is good for snacks.

Thanks for the heads up regarding Port Solent went on Thursday,meal in Harvester and Free Parking.Nice short drive to the port.

Watching the News this morning.

I think the below is important for all the wrong reasons.

Tottenham and Manchester Utd are due to play a Final of Football
in 12 days time in Bilbao.

Whilst it might (or might not be?) be too late to amend your
ticket on Brittany Ferries for the outward passage to EITHER Bilbao or Santander,
should your return ticket to the UK be timed immediately AFTER the match, I
would seriously consider amending your journey so as not to coincide with returning supporters.
