Anyone with a short wheelbase ford transit custom ? Just bought one and going to convert it but realised that with a rock and roll bed will there be space for the portaloo as my age means night time toilet excursions ,

The VW’s on swb that have rock n’ roll beds tend to have a cupboard that a portaloo is stored in and is brought out at night and strategically placed once the bed is in situ. A friend has. 5 metre VW and this is what she does.
Another friend has a Murvi Pimento on a Ford Transit which is 5.4 metres and would you believe that has a proper loo and shower, but not a rock n roll bed. Have a look at the Murvi webpage to see the layout. An alternative to a r&r bed is available.
PS: she is 6’ tall!

I have a SWB VW T5 and I have a Dometic 972 which fits under my seat/bed. But I have a RIB bed rather than a R&R bed. My last van was based on a citroen Nemo and I had a Cube 335 in that, which had it's own 'box' to sit in.
Yes, you'll definitely have space in a SWB Transit Custom, but you may need a box rather than it fitting under the seat/bed.
