Finally used the trumatic S3002 and I noticed in the evening a slight popping noise. Curiously the first night... every 12 minutes. Then next night it was around 8 minutes.
Does anyone understand how they work? From what I can see through the viewer window the popping is the burner starting up... is this normal? As opposed to it just being on a low burn level constantly.
In my head at a thermostat setting of say 5, it heats up to the required temprature... then shuts off the additional burner and then cycles it thereon. Thus making the popping noise normal... Would that be correct? This would explain the time difference between the 1st night and 2nd. As the temprature setting was higher the 2nd night, which would explain the higher frequency of the popping burner cycling.
Everything seemed to work fine with it, and the popping noise was relatively quiet, but it did have me under the van when I first heard it.
The pilot light settles to a nice blue flame, so i don't see a problem with that.
