The parking has been like that for a number of years. There used to be a man who collected the money and, if you were small enough to fit within a space, you got away with paying the same as a car.

Since they put machines in, there is no leeway and they must lose a lot of custom.

That carpark was sold 4-5 years ago, the whole kit and caboodle, went for nearly 2 mill I seem to remember,.
Fella's only getting his money back


It is a tourist trap! Should have gone to Mevagissy, which is the cheapest in that area.

Helligan Gardens up top of the hill, that used to be very reasonable to get in, BUT! the same joker that runs the EDEN Project has run it for a couple of years, so going on his past history, you will need a 5th mortgage to get the funds to get in.

Hardly any Public Toilets open down here, the Council can't be bothered, because of the Covid19 cleansing after every time someone uses them.
They have made the local Town & Parish Councils take them on, so most of them are closed because of the above, mainly financial reasons.

ALTHOUGH!! if passing through Lannermoor on the A393 the loos in the park are open, it will cost you 20p though

Heligan gardens does have a very nice and reasonably priced campsite next door which gives a discount on entrance (or used to!) Walkable into Mevagissey too

We stayed on a site just above Polparro that's when we towed the Harley and we parked that just outside the town,

£8 OVERNIGHT!!!! Mevagissey.
It could cost up to £18 for all day parking plus the overnight but, if you arrive after 6pm it's just £8.

I've been having an impossible task of finding availability in Devon and Cornwall. Odd days occasionally available on different (scattered) commercial sites but also 'no day' gaps between sites. I prefer CL's but waiting for call backs before being able to look for the next one having space is soul destroying.
Just tried several dates at Heligan in Sept and Oct but fully booked. I used to live 2 miles from Heligan.
